Christmas day!! Santa came!!!

This morning I woke up(after I slept the whole night through without getting mommy up to eat, YAH for me) and Santa had come to visit us in our apartment. Here is what he left for me below.... I was so excited to see the fun things!

Here are the stockings(that were all hung with care before they became too heavy). Even my doggie Trixie had one this year!

My 1st Christmas Eve!!!

I had a great first Christmas Eve with my family this year! Mommy, daddy and I were so happy to finally be back in Illinois and be able to see the people that we love so much. This year we headed over to my Uncle Jay and Aunt Laura's house. When we got there Meme and Papa were there too and of course Justin and Jack. I was so excited to see everyone. We went to church together and then had a great lobster dinner followed by opening lots of presents. I was pretty much spoiled rotten by Uncle Jay, Aunt Laura, Meme, Papa, Justin, Jack, Aunt Jean, Aunt Judy and Aunt Paula. Between all those people I racked up some serious loot that involved a lot of fun toys and of course some more cute clothes for me:) Thank you everyone for all the great gifts but more importantly thank you for loving me so much and being a part of my life!

Meme bought this cute hat for me although it was a bit big for me I still found it fun to try on.. Next year mommy said I can try wearing it again!

Justin and Jack had this cool gingerbread house at their house and I really liked playing with it but I didn't get any of that candy off this year. Maybe next year someone will give me something!

A fabulous 2009 Christmas!!!

My first taste of cereal!!

On December 23, 2009(exactly 1 year after mommy and daddy saw me on an ultrasound for the first time, and by the way I was just a dot but I had a heartbeat) they decided that it was time for me to try some rice cereal for the first time. We went to the doctors this week and he gave mommy the go ahead to try it out and see if I was interested in it. I'll let you decide for yourself how I felt about my first bites of solid food.....

Here's the first bite... Not sure about this spoon in my mouth but I'll give it a go!
This is not so bad.... I think I could get use to it!
Daddy was the first person to give me by first bite... He was doing a really good job
But this is where it gets a little hairy.... It is finally setting in that this rice stuff mixed with boobie milk is really not so great!
In fact... this stuff STINKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stop this daddy... right now!!!!!!!PLEASE.... with each bite it is NOT getting better!!
So that's the way it went!! No more for me.. Mommy and daddy said we can try in another couple of weeks and see if I like it any better......

And at the end of it all I begged for some relief so daddy got me some water to wash down this awful dinner of mine!! Now this is relief..My new thing is drinking out of water bottles. I love it!

My first birthday party!

Today I went to my first birthday party!! My cousin, Justin, turned 10 on Friday and on Sunday all the family got together to celebrate. I got all dressed up in my new party dress and off we went to Wheaton. I had so much fun and loved watching all the big kids play and I especially liked to see all the people I love the most!

Just a low-key Friday night at my house...

Yep! It's never too young to start reading(at least that is what mommy and daddy said) so not much going on tonight at home so I decided it was time for Brown Bear Brown Bear. I had to put on my extra fancy reading glasses to help me see all the pictures. Daddy told me those glasses were actually to help keep my eyes shielded from the sun but I said "no way daddy, these are my reading glasses, so don't be jealous. I'm sure if you want a pair mommy will get you some too!"
Thanks to Meme and Papa who came to see me today and took me to a fancy steak and seafood restaurant.
Also wanted to wish my cousin, Justin, a Happy 10th Birthday today. We will be celebrating with him on Sunday at his house. I can't wait!!

Mommy had to post this picture of me that her friend Amy took over Thanksgiving. I was modeling a hair bow one night and we caught this cute shot. The bow is as big as my head but I think I can pull it off:)

Keep on rolling.......

Mommy is very proud of me so I am writing to tell you my latest milestone. This past week I started rolling over while I was laying on my back. I tricked mommy the first time when she was in the bathroom brushing her teeth but just yesterday I have started rolling over immediately when mommy or daddy puts me down on my back. I have not quite figured out how to flip back over from my tummy but I love to flip from my back to my tummy. Sometimes when I have a lot of energy and a full belly I will do it 3 and 4 times and mommy and daddy have to try and keep up with me!! They also caught me on the video monitor trying to flip over in my crib but I didnt quite make it over because I fell asleep in mid roll! I am really getting to be a big girl!

I'm 4 months old today!

Can't believe that I am 4 months old already. Just in my short life I have done a lot. Today mommy and and I are staying indoors because it is really really cold here. I just started being able to play in my entertainer so I am enjoying that as mommy gets some work done!

My 4 month doctors appointment

This morning mommy and I went to Barrington to try out a new doctor. My Uncle Jay went to medical school with him so he came highly recommended. I knew what my 4 month appointment would mean, more SHOTS! I had to get 3 more shots in my legs and 1 orally.. I cried but I was really tough and was snoring zzzzzz's by the time we hit the car. Mommy and I really liked my new doctor. He was very helpful and informative. That's important! I got weighed and I am tipping the scale now at 10 pounds 5 1/2 ounces and 25 inches long. We are still a little worried about how tiny I am so we are going back in 2 weeks to get weighed again. The doctor said I just might be a tall skinny baby. Well that is about it. We are suppose to get a lot of snow overnight so I am anxious to wake up tomorrow and see what is out there!

I ROLLED OVER!

Today I officially rolled over on my own. Mommy was in the bathroom brushing her teeth and she put me on the bed and when she got back I had a surprise for her. I had flipped from my back to my tummy. Mommy took a picture of me because she was so excited and I was really proud of myself!!

I wanted to eat his big white beard!!

Today mommy and daddy took me to the mall in Vernon Hills to see Santa Claus. I got all excited and dressed up in my new Christmas dress that Meme and Papa got me. When I got there we had to wait for about 30 minutes but I was just enjoying looking around at all the lights and people. I got my first picture with the big guy with the white beard and I didn't cry but I didn't even crack a smile not for one second.. All I did was grab that man's beard and try to put it in my mouth!

And he is now praying to God I don't pull it off in front of all these other kids...Good thing God answered his prayers.. The beard stayed put..

The first snow! 12-3-09

Today mommy took me out to see my very first snowflakes. Boy oh boy I thought it was pretty neat to have snow fall on my face. It didn't snow much and I am really looking forward to lots more this winter!!

We have moved!

As most of you know, mommy, daddy and I decided to make the move back to Illinois. We are now living in Buffalo Grove while we search for a house. Daddy has just started his first week of work and is loving it and keeping very busy. Mommy and I have been holding down the fort and also house hunting! We had our first visitor last night as mommy's friend Darci came out to see us! Thanks for the visit! We are already loving being back to our friends and family!

My Xmas Pictures...

While we were in Springfield for Thanksgiving Aunt Laura took some pictures of me outside with my pretty dress on... Here are mommy's favorites.. She said she is going to use one for our Xmas card this year!!!

My first Thanksgiving...Springfield style!

It has been a very busy couple of weeks and I have been unable to write because mommy and daddy packed the computer and all the cords I needed. Well I officially left Arkansas on November 23rd with mommy and Papa. Meme followed us in another car and daddy stayed behind to wrap things up!!!

Off we went to Springfield. It is about 440 miles from Rogers, Arkansas but it took us a looooong time with all the stops to feed me. I think we did it in 10 hours. I slept about half that time and the other half I stayed awake and talked to mommy who was in the backseat with me.

My first Thanksgiving was fabulous. I got to spend it with a whole lot of family. We all ate lots of turkey and even a few mash potatoes.. Oh who am I kidding I was just stuck with milk.

Here is a picture of my mommy, daddy and me!! Almost exactly a year ago they sat in front of this same fireplace and had just found out that they were having a baby... They didn't know it was going to be ME of course!!
