Water Table Fun!!

Today Avery got an early birthday present from Meme and Papa.. A water table!!! She was very happy to be splish splashing around in the water today.

My birthday present...

35 years OLD today and what is a better present than my sweet baby walking and talking to me?

Busy, busy bee!

I realized this morning that I was not doing a great job keeping up with the blog lately so it was my misson this morning to "catch" some shots and post something new. Avery is such a busy bee these days and mommy doesn't have a ton of time anymore to blog and take pictures. Not only is she beginning to walk, but she is exploring every inch of the house. She especially likes the drawers and finds it very fun to take out each and every piece of clothing she can find(and for those of you that know.. this girl has some clothes:))
This morning we were up in her room and I caught some shots of her keeping busy:)


She emptied the drawer and felt quite proud..
This was adorable and I had to include. I looked over and Avery had found some clean diapers that I had set on the ground to take downstairs and she was picking up the diapers, lifting the lid on the diaper champ and putting in the diapers. She obviously is very observant when mommy and daddy put the diapers in there because she even could work the handle:)

Here she is with her new dolly that mommy got suckered into yesterday when we were at the store but it looks just like her with brown eyes and brown hair and that is hard to find..so how could I say no? And for the last 24 hours she has carried it everywhere with her!

Walking action shot... She must feel comfortable in her room walking because it is a smaller space and has a rug.. she was walking all this morning back and forth with many falls but she keeps getting up and trying again..

I love how her foot is up and in motion here and how her face clearly illustrates the concentration that it takes when you first learn how to walk!

Mommy took the jelly beans away and Avery had a major meltdown.. but she was soon on the move again!

Avery discovered the jelly beans that are suppose to be for her birthday party but instead she is trying them out early to make sure they are ok for everyone to eat. She is just starting to walk on her own. Not far but won't be long and she will be going great distances I am sure:)

Avery's new toy!!

Thanks Aunt Jean for my great (early) birthday presents. Avery got an awesome new push/ride musical car and also 2 cute outfits to wear in the fall and winter. Below is a video of Avery trying out the new car on the sidewalk today. I think it's a winner!

It's all about the pasta!

It seems like I post a lot of pictures of Avery eating pasta but it must be because it is her favorite and I get the best shots of her eating the messy food.

Here she is excited that tonight's dinner is pasta with red sauce. Sometimes I give her pasta with just butter and cheese and she is not a huge fan but bring on the red sauce and we could have an eating contest.
"help mommy... it's all gone!!"

I have been trying out a little sign language with Avery since she was about 6 months old. Until now she just been looking at me with a blank look on her face, almost like "mommy you're crazy". But this week while she was eating and finished up something good she signed "more" to me. I was so happy and actually was able to get it on video. Now her sign language is not perfect. She uses just her two index fingers but I'll take it:)!!

A friend of mine is helping me edit my pictures by showing me different programs and websites to try out. This is my favorite picture from today. Something about Avery's look, her itty bitty bikini and the colors in the picture. Makes me smile!!

I'm 11 months old!

What's an 11 month old to do today?

Well I have been quite busy since I got up... It first started with a popsicle(or 2) on my new picnic table out in the backyard. Thanks to Meme and Papa for the new table. I sat there the entire time and had 2 popsicles and never once fell off:) Then mommy and daddy and I went to our pool for a little bit today. I had to debut my new bikini. Now it fit just fine until I got in the water and the bottoms... oops were a little big for me but no one seemed to care:) I had a ton of fun and it was a special treat to have daddy with us! I actually like to simply walk around the different pool areas and occasionally get in the water but mostly I like to walk(with help) or bear crawl so my knees don't hurt too much!!

We have a climber!

Today Avery surprised us and took on the stairs.. She literally climbed all the way from the bottom to the top two times and wanted to keep doing it over and over. Geoff is not pushing or holding her either:) She is going to make mommy's days a little crazier from here on out:)

4th of July in Springfield!!

Mommy and daddy made a last minute decision to go to Springfield for the 4th of July weekend. We are all so glad that we went back because we had a fabulous 2 days with family. We even got to swim in Meme and Papa's pool. Below are a LOT of pictures that mommy took while we were there. Enjoy!!!
