Just a day at home!

Mommy realized that it had been awhile since she last posted some pictures so today when we were playing in the backyard she took a few pictures. These were her favorites for the day!

A day at the park!

Today mommy and daddy and I went to the park to play. It was my first time there since I have been walking on my own. I had a lot of fun and especially liked the slide although from the looks of the pictures mommy liked it too:)

I love my backyard and all the apples that fall off the tree that I can carry around with me and hold. Occasionally I can't resist and I will put one in my mouth..............

My 1st trip to the Illinois State Fair!

From what I hear the Illinois State Fair is kinda a big deal for Springfield. Mommy had been telling me all about it in the previous weeks but I had to go to 'experience' this for myself. I just kept hearing about all this fried food and yummy things you could eat and I never want to miss an opportunity to have new things:) So off I went with my mommy, Meme, Papa, Aunt Jean, and Aunt Judy.
I had a lot of fun and got to try lots of new things..... Here are a few pics!

If you look closely you will see the first little treat I got to try.... yummy ice cream from the dairy building. Thanks Aunt Judy for buying me that yummy stuff!

Family Reunion

On August 14th, mommy and daddy and I were in Springfield for our annual family reunion. It was a very fun day most of which was spent in the pool. I am not a HUGE fan of swimming but the older kids sure did like it. Here is the only picture mommy is posting from the day.... there were only 5 kids this year. We missed Justin and Adam but hopefully they will be back next year!

12 month appointment

So here it is... I went to the doctor this morning and here are my 12 month stats:

Weight~19 pounds 6 ounces (22nd percentile)
Height~30 1/2 inches (90th percentile)
Head~45 3/4 cm(70th percentile)

I got 3 shots today but nothing that I couldn't handle..... All looks great and mommy and daddy can start giving me whole milk to drink instead of formula and eventually mommy says I have to give up the baba(bottle) before 15 months(I'm not looking forward to that:()

A look back....

This past year has by far been the most exciting year of our lives. You never truly understand the love you can feel for another human being until you have a child. I didn't know this kind of love existed in life. Avery has taught me so much in the last year that I am amazed everyday by it. It seems hard to believe that I carried this sweet little girl around in my tummy for 9 months and then we welcomed her into this world on that beautiful but very stormy Monday night. It seems like just yesterday I heard those words from the doctor. "It's time to push. You are going to have a baby". Not only am I blessed to have this healthy baby girl that is sweeter than pie but I am blessed to be her mother, actually honored!

Avery is our life and I would have it no other way. She is a gift from God and we are blessed everyday to be the proud parents of such a happy girl. I put together a video of my favorite memories in the past year. It brings tears to my eyes every time I watch. She is growing up way too fast for her mommy and daddy!

Happy 1st Birthday Avery Grace!!

Seems very hard to believe that a year ago today Avery Grace came into this world. At 6:28pm in Bentonville Arkansas our lives changed forever and for the better... Avery is such a blessing and not only do we think she is beautiful and perfect but she is also so much fun, friendly, and curious. Her smile and energy is contagious. We love you Avery!!!! Happy 1st birthday sweet girl!
