Ducka ducka duckas.....

Tonight when daddy got home we decided to go over to Lake Arlington and feed the ducks.... It was another nice and warm day today so it was a perfect night for it too. We brought with us a bagel from home and sure enough in minutes there were ducka duckas coming very close to me(I guess they were hungry and liked blueberry bagels, who knew?) For all of you that do not know one of my very favorite animals are ducks and when I talk about them it comes out as "ducka duckas"....

Well......she decided to keep if for herself. It was so funny she kept eating the bagel every time we gave her a small piece for the ducks....... for a little peanut this girl likes to eat!!

Daddy finds it funny that I keep eating the bagel instead of sharing with the duckas..

So fun... thanks dada and mama for taking me to see my feathery friends tonight!

Avery loves her new alphabet book!

Thanks Aunt Paula for the wonderful new alphabet book. Avery loves to look at it 4-5 times a day. She has now learned NOT to rip out the pictures and she is busy learning new words.

Autumn Fest!

This morning mommy and I went to check out this place called Kinsch's Autumn Fest in Palatine. Starting today they have a bunch of activities for Halloween and Fall and for families. We met our friends Christy and Carter there as well. It was a lot of fun!!!

1st day of fall!

Today is the official first day of fall even though it feels a bit like summer out since it is in the 80's. Mommy and I got to play outside after lunch. It could be my last day of playing in the water table this year so mommy cleaned it all out and I played with the bubbles in it and then she followed me around to catch some pictures. Mommy got a little crazy today and put me in the tree for a couple of pictures and would you believe she even got me to smile for a couple of pictures today?

I realized today that I haven't included a video in a long time so I caught a cute one of Avery 'walking' her doggie today.

It's a BIG day for Avery!!

Yesterday daddy spent an hour getting my big girl car seat ready for me to try out today. I have finally gained 20 pounds at 13 1/2 months so mommy and daddy decided it was time to switch me over to forward facing AND a new cool big girl seat. It was a wonderful first ride to my music class this morning. I could see mommy in the rear view mirror and I could even look out the window. YEAH!!! I think I am going to be much happier riding in the car now in my big comfy princess chair!!!

Apple Picking Fun!!

Today mommy, daddy and I went to the apple orchard to pick apples. Earlier in the week mommy and I went to another one but we didn't get to pick apples. We wanted to save that for when daddy could be a part of the fun. I had a great time picking the apples from the tree and placing them in our bag, and then carrying the bag(until it got too heavy). Mommy is going to make apple pie with all the apples we got. Yum yum!

Apple Holler Farm!

This morning mommy and I drove all the way to Wisconsin with a friend to spend the morning at the Apple Festival. They had lots to see there and I even got to go on my first wagon ride. I also saw goats, pumpkins and of course lots of apples. It was tons of fun!!

Happy Fall!! Mommy says this is her favorite time of the year and I am beginning to agree with her because I get to go APPLE PICKING and we all know that I LOVE to carry apples around whenever I can get a chance.

A 1/2 marathon weekend!

This weekend was mommy's race weekend that she had been training for for the last 15 weeks. We started on Saturday by going to Navy Pier to pick up all her race information. Then on Sunday she ran the Chicago 1/2 marathon along Lake Shore Drive. Meme, Papa, daddy and I went to cheer her on at the finish line. She finished her 1st 1/2 marathon race in 2 hours and 15 minutes!! Way to go mommy!
