Kellan's first bath 7.24.11
Today we gave Kellan his first bath. I say we because I had a very important helper, his big sister. She helped mommy wash him and did a great job. Kellan didn't seem to mind his bath although he did cry at times and was much more relaxed when he had his bb(pacifer). Please excuse the pink bath chair as it was a hand me down from his big sister!!
1st stroller ride together
Our new family of four took their first walk together and Avery and Kellan tried out their new double stroller for the first time. Avery loved sitting next to him and held his hand the entire 3-4 blocks to the park. It totally melted my heart!!!!!
BIG SISTER!
Avery has been an incredible big sister already. I was worried about her but so far she has been amazing. She loves her little brother and wants to hold him all the time. She is very helpful with diaper changes and even likes to help mommy put the diaper cream on Kellan's butt:) She is very interested in his poopie diapers and gives him kisses when he starts to cry. I am amazed at the bond between siblings that start so young! I am feeling very very blessed to have such an amazing little girl and now a healthy boy. I know they are going to have so much fun together!
Kellan's 1st visitors!
Kellan's first visitors to the hospital the day he was born are pictured below. Aunt Laura arrived first while he was still in the nursery getting his first bath, then Meme and Papa and big sister Avery came next, and lastly Aunt Paula(who we missed getting a picture of...sorry). Thanks for coming and welcoming our baby boy into this world!!

He's here!
We are very excited to announce that our baby boy ,Kellan James Sherman made his way into this world on July 18, 2011 at 12:53pm. He weighed in at 8 pounds 9 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long!!!
Mommy had a very quick and easy delivery. We went into the hospital at 6:00am, the doctor broke her water at 9:30am, the epidural came at 10:40, and Kellan was here at 12:53pm. Mommy only had to push for 8 minutes and out came our sweet addition to our family! We couldn't be more thrilled. What a miracle he is and we are so thankful for a healthy boy!!!
Many have asked about his name so we thought we would explain. Kellan was just a name that mommy discovered and fell in love with, daddy agreed and there it was at about 20 weeks along we had our name. James is Kellan's middle name and the first name of his Papa. We thought there would be no better person to name our boy after than his Papa who is the example of an incredible man and the best Papa in the world to Avery and we know will be equally the same with his newest grandson.
Below are a few pictures from the labor and delivery. More to come as Kellan meets his big sister for the first time as well as Aunt Laura, Meme, Papa and Aunt Paula!

11 days to go!!!
I just had my 38 week doctors appointment and I am happy to say the end is in sight!!!
I was 1-2 centimeters dilated so we can go ahead with an induction as I wanted because as most of you know I am a planner and like to be in control. Everything looks great... baby is head down and my belly is measuring perfect and he is moving all the time!!!!!
So it looks like if he doesn't come before...Monday July 18th our little boy will be arriving!!!! As of now, I will be going into the hospital at 6:00am to start the induction and hope to welcome this sweet little boy by the afternoon/early evening!!
Can't wait!!!!!!! Seems hard to believe the day is finally here!!

4th Of July Parade!!
Happy 4th of July!!! We spent the morning at my very first parade and I LOVED it!!! I actually was 100% happy for 2 1/2 hours sitting and watching. I kept asking for more music and more animals!!!! It was a perfect morning with mommy and dada!
