Last day of preschool

Well it is officially over, preschool that is and it seems so hard believe that Avery just completed her first year. She had such a great time and we are very proud of how well she listened , was kind to her friends, and learned SO much.  Today she had a popsicle party that all the parents were invited to at the end of the day.  It was a great time and now we are ready for sunshine, pool time and summer fun!

Weight loss journey

August 2012 and May 2013
So I thought that now that I have officially lost 30 pounds that I would include a post on the blog. As most know I had much weight to lose after Kellan and at the end of the summer last year I started my journey and I am happy to say with a three month break in there, I have lost 30 pounds and couldn't be happier. I am currently training for a 1/2 marathon and going to run my second one in just a couple of days. Please keep me in your thoughts this Sunday the 2nd, 13.1 miles seems like a lot when you are almost 38 years old:)  I have to say it is nice to finally be back to pre-baby weight. Two beautiful babies later and it is all worth it:)

A day of planting

Today was a day that we got to spend with Pie and boy oh boy was it a fun one!!! This is the second annual plant a garden day with Pie. Last year, Pie had a great idea and made a flower bed in the back yard and she and Avery planted their first garden. Avery was super excited this year to do it again and this time they build another one and are going to grow vegetables too.  Thank you to Aunt Pie who brings all the stuff and buys all the soil and flowers and most importantly spends the time with Avery and this year Kellan(although not pictured). The relationship that my kids have with their "Pie" is such a blessing and I am so thankful for the time she spends with us!!!!! Thanks Pie, We love you!

Avery's report card

Yesterday Avery got home yesterday with a full backpack and her end of the year report and lots of art projects from the year. I cannot wait to put them in her baby box and keep them as a reminder of her first year in preschool 3 at St James. This year has been wonderful and Avery has loved going to every Tuesday and Thursday. There has not been a time that she didnt want to go. She loved her teachers, Mrs. Broyer and Mrs. Thomas and made some great friendships in her room. Thankfully she will be with the same teachers next year and a lot of the same children.  Seems like just yesterday we were dropping her off for her first day on August 28th. She has had a  great year! So proud of you sweet girl!!!

Happy birthday to Papa(yesterday). Avery wore her new shirt in honor of Papa all day. I have to say this shirt pretty much is perfect !!!

We love you Papa!

A morning at Brookfield Zoo

Over the long weekend, we decided to take the kids to Brookfield zoo. So we packed a lunch and headed there on Saturday morning. Much to our surprise the zoo was not busy at all and it was cooler so all the animals were out and we got to see just about everything.  Avery and Kellan absolutely loved it and didnt want to leave.  Avery said her favorite part of the zoo were the wolves and Kellan was mesmerized by the last thing we saw on the way out which was this mechancial dinosaur which is pictured below.  So much fun. We will definitely have to go back this summer!!

On stage.....

We were so proud of our sweet girl today who made her first debut on the stage with your ballet class. She was so excited and a little nervous and mama thought that she would just stand there and not move but she surprised us all and dance her little heart out with a smile the whole time.

A very proud little brother who throughly enjoyed the showed!
