1st day of Pre-K 4

And she was off, like it was no big deal this morning..... What a difference a year makes in regards to going back to school.  Avery was so excited to go back this morning. She literally ran into line this morning at drop off even forgetting to give her mama, daddy and little brother a kiss or a hug.
Daddy stayed home from work to help take her so it was an extra special morning that started with back to school donuts for breakfast. This year Avery will be attending the 4 year old classroom Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. She has a new teacher this year, who seems very nice, her name is Mrs. Dillon. Mrs. Thomas, the aide from last year is back again and we are excited as she is great with the kids and Avery loved seeing her again. I can tell it is going to be a fabulous year filled with lots more firsts for our sweet little girl.

A FUN NIGHT downtown

Tonight we took the kids to National Night out in downtown Arlington Heights... Here are a few pictures of all the fun they had. My most favorite part of the whole night was when Kellan met one of the army men and I said to him.... "say nice to meet you" and Kellan did and then extended his arm and shock his hand. Amazing, this is little man of mine is such a ham!!

Summer camp fun

This summer Avery had her first experience at summer camp in our neighborhood and she loved it. They spent the morning swimming and doing arts and crafts. She and a few of her friends that were in there together which made it more fun for her.  The last day of camp was last week and they put on a little show and sang to the parents and then they each got an award... I have to say that I was quite proud when they called Avery's name and gave her the "future teacher" award. Maybe she is going to follow in her mommy's footsteps:)

Another look back in time....

Avery's 4th birthday party

Today we spent another blessed day with friends celebrating our sweet little girl. I cannot even put into words how fast the last four years have went. Everyone always tells you how fast it goes but until you are living through it it is often hard to understand. Four short years ago we were a family of two, living in Rogers Arkansas, both working and preparing for our first baby.  So much has happened in the last 4 years, careers, houses, new friends, new community, one baby girl, one baby boy and now a family of 4.  So thankful for what we have and cant wait to see what the future holds for us.  Happy (almost) 4th birthday Avery Grace. We love you more than you will ever know!
