And just like that they were gone....

Today was Kellan's first day of preschool at St James and boy oh boy was we ready.  Just like his big sister he got a special breakfast to start his day off with a smile.

He then entertained his mama quite well with lots of first day pictures.  That smile of his could melt anyone and I am guessing it may melt one of his teachers this year:)

 Then it was time to go to St. James. Here he is in front of his drop off door. He was as happy as a clam and a cool as a cucumber today. No tears, no hesitation. Just a little pep in his step and he was off......

 And he didn't even look back....

First Day of Kindergarten.....a milestone for our sweet baby girl

Well, today finally arrived. After much anticipation, doctors appointments, back to school shopping, and hours of conversation about what the first day might look like our baby girl went off into the world of Big School.  She woke up in a very happy and excited mood knowing today was the day.  We surprised her with a special smiley breakfast to get her day started in a great way.

Then she was eager to get dressed in any dress she wanted for her first day. She picked her favorite dress and off we went for some backyard pictures with her dress, her smile and her new bookbag.

Then it was time to WALK yes WALK our little girl down to school so off we went

We arrived in time to take more pictures, yes mama is a little crazy but we will never get this time back so here we are at Ivy Hill Elementary School.

 And then we lined up and a few tears started to flow both from Avery and Mama but Avery's teacher, Miss Tazioli immediately saw she was unsure and took her hand and made her the helper for the line outside.

We are hopeful for a great year and can't wait for all that is to come for Avery in her new adventure. When we picked her up she was all smiles, full of stories about the day and ready to go back tomorrow. That is pretty much all a mama can ask for.  Ahh, all going too fast.......
