Look who's coming

As you know, Kellan has been taking his first steps since about 10 1/2 months. No this child still cannot crawl but he has been bound and determined to practice his steps for the last 3 weeks and today for whatever reason after nap this little man took off and was walking back and forth to and from Meme and I and then once he gained enough confidence he was walking from room to room. We officially have a walker on June 27, 2012.  Check him out!!

Fathers Day 2012

 A perfect day spent with my two favorite dads on Fathers Day .  We decided to go to Arlington Race track for the morning because it was family day. We had lots of fun even though it was super hot. Avery's favorite part was riding on the horse which she was not at all timid doing, Papa loved winning on horse #2 during the first race, Kellan loved his lunch and seeing all the goats at the petting zoo, and mama and dada loved seeing their kiddos smile and have fun.  Such a great day!!

Happy 11 months

Doesn't even seem possible that this little man of mine could possibly be 11 months old today.  What a difference 11 months will make in the life of a little one.  Our sweet boy is starting to come out of his shell, he is laughing and smiling, taking a ton of steps on his own and wants to walk EVERYWHERE. He is saying a few of his first words, "mama" is one of them and today Papa taught him to say "hot". What a fun little guy he is and we are so blessed! Happy 11 months Kellan James, we love you!

Look at our big boy

This week has been an exciting one for us in the Sherman house.  Avery is a big girl now and Kellan is taking his first steps.  Where did my babies go????  It is all going way too fast!

What???? Another new baby doll???? Yes, Avery Grace is now the proud mommy of a new "big girl" doll that she got today because she is now POTTY TRAINED. If there ever was an easy way to potty train we did it. We waited until she was ready and willing and she did FABULOUS. The first 2 or 3 days we stayed around the house and we had 2 to 3 accidents day 1 and 2 but in the 3 days she has had NO accidents and is even waking up dry from her naps and nighttime.  No more diapers for this big girl and so she celebrates with a new big girl doll that has big girl pants on just like her:) We couldn't be more proud of our BIG girl!
