I am excited to share that baby Sherman has been very active as of the 20th week of pregnancy. I can feel her every day now which has been amazing! The once 'flutters' are stronger and more of a kick now. There is no denying what I am feeling at this point.... Daddy has been able to feel his little girl when he puts his hand on my belly at just the right time.
I read that at this point the baby has distinctive sleep patterns sometimes sleeping up to 18 hours a day, but that these patterns will remain quite the same when she is born. So my thoughts are that we are going to have a night owl on our hands which is ironic because neither mommy or daddy can make it up past 10:00pm most nights.
Baby Sherman is the most active at night and I have even been waking up in the middle of the night to feel her moving around like crazy. Last night, I woke up for my nightly bathroom break and I ended up staying up from 3:30-4:30am feeling her move. I think it is the most incredible feeling ever and I just couldn't get myself back to sleep because I was enjoying all the dancing she was doing.
I unfortunately have been battling a cold/flu for the past week and I have spent the 2nd half of my spring break on the couch. I think the end is in sight though, but it is hard when you cannot take any medicine to speed along the process. I am determined to get out of the house today, take a shower and maybe even see the inside of the gym for the 1st time in a week.....
We packed up more of the house this weekend and are slowly getting ourselves ready for the big move in a couple of weeks. We will start moving boxes over next weekend. I cannot wait to get to the new house only a short time left living in our town home!

This past weekend Geoff and I went to Chicago to help celebrate all of the babies being born this year! 2 of my very best friends are pregnant and 4 of our very close friends threw us a fabulous party that was named the baby bonanza. It was a ton of fun!! It started at 3pm and and I think the last person left at almost 1am... Now that is a good party! We got to see a ton of friends and family and had lots of good food and drink (well some of us just had water:))! We had a blast! Thanks to everyone involved in the party and all the wonderful and generous gifts!! We are very lucky to have such great friends and family!

Ohhhh ohhhh we're half way there......
Seems hard to believe that I am to the 20 week mark which means my pregnancy is halfway over. Wow! Time is flying by.... I am officially wearing maternity pants now on a regular basis more for the comfort factor and I am loving it! It is nice to have room to breath. I am feeling great and my appetite has increased considerably in the last several weeks. The phrase "I can't get enough" is holding pretty true for me these days. We are actually on our way to the airport as we are very excited to be going to Chicago this weekend. Tomorrow we are having a "baby bonanza" (aka party) for myself and my two great friends Kalli and Norah who are pregnant as well. I am very much looking forward to some time in my favorite city with my favorite people!

Shop till you drop!
It is no secret that one of my favorite pastimes is shopping, well since we have found out we are having a little girl all I want to do is shop but for someone else this time, someone very little:) Baby Sherman is going to be one spoiled little girl for sure... Now daddy thinks that she already has enough cute pink and frilly outfits but mommy is just having too much fun to stop now!!! In addition to being a regular at all these baby stores I have also spent many hours registering for Baby Sherman online... The internet has become a close shopping friend of mine. We are registered at Babies R US and Target!!
I just cannot express how excited I am about this pregnancy and the idea of having a little girl soon in our house. Geoff will definitely be outnumbered 3 to 1(for those of you trying to figure it out, Trixie, the dog makes it in the equation) but I know he is going to be a wonderful dad. I told him the other day I am so happy and on cloud nine that I barely notice anything happening around me! What a great feeling for sure! I struggled with the idea of whether to find out the sex of the baby or wait for that wonderful surprise one hot day in August, but I am SO glad we decided we were too impatient to wait. In the last 5 days since the ultrasound I feel like I have already started to bond with the baby and it really has made it more personal for us. I am very happy with our decision to find out and I am pretty sure the retail stores and our credit card company are happy about it too!

Baby Sherman's 1st outfit from daddy!
Video of Baby Sherman
Here is the video of the last part of our ultrasound today when we found out it was a girl. As you will see, my reaction to the news involves some tears of excitment!!
It 's a girl!!
We had our BIG ultrasound today and we were so excited!!!! We arrived at 2:30 and I was a nervous wreck, pacing the doctors office with excitement. After all the medical checks we got to the end of our ultrasound and heard those sweet words. ITS A GIRL!!! Actually I think the ultrasound technician's first words were: "there is no outdoor plumbing!"
We feel so very blessed for sure as all looks well and she is measuring right on schedule, in fact, she is measuring 3 days early but they are going to keep my due date as August 10th!
The next question is "do we have a name picked out?" and the answer is YES we do but we are keeping that a secret until the day she decides to show her sweet little face! We have to have some element of surprise:)!

The Scale was BROKEN!
I just got back from my regular monthly doctors appointment with Dr. Hannah. He told me that he had not slept all night as he had 4 deliveries in the night from 9pm to 3am. Yikes! That is a whole lot of baby's going on and he said he thought it was the change in the weather here...yesterday it was 80 degrees today 30 and tomorrow they are predicting a wintry mix which for Northwest Arkansas probably means a light dusting of snow flurries....
All went well with my 18 week appointment EXCEPT I think the scale at their office may have been broken today because it said I had gained 6 pounds in 4 weeks... Can you say lay off the peeps and animal crackers? All kidding aside he said I was well within the normal weight gain for being almost half through the pregnancy.. He said most of the weight I will be gaining in the next month is fluid. Hahaha I think he was humoring me or maybe preparing me for my next weigh in in 4 weeks.
Baby Sherman's heart rate was in the 150's today and could be heard really easily just below my belly button. All went well and at the end of the appointment he asked me my prediction for the BIG ultrasound tomorrow and I said I was unsure if I was going boy or girl. After asking a couple of questions and looking at my chart... he responded........ I am guessing girl!! 21 hours and we will know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please pass the animal crackers....
Well my new found love is definitely animal crackers. I had to buy the 2 pound bag at the grocery store yesterday and Geoff said that I would never finish the bag, but I am giving it a good ole college try for sure and I am well on my way!... Baby Sherman is thoroughly enjoying them too! Not much new on the baby front, no movement from the little one in a couple of days but I am getting very anxious for our appointment on Thursday. I can barely sleep at night wondering if this little peanut is a boy or girl. I had a dream early on in the pregnancy that I was having a boy, but last night I had a dream it was a girl... So who knows? I am amazed at all my friends that are able to wait for that grand surprise at birth. I must just be a very impatient person because I feel like 18 1/2 weeks is long enough to wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are moving!!!!
We are so excited to share the news that we are moving into a house April 11th! We decided we just needed some more room with the baby on the way and we found the perfect place! We will still be renting, but we will have plenty of space for anyone that wants to come visit after baby Sherman gets here. We are going to be living on a golf course again, which is ironic because neither Geoff nor I really enjoying playing the sport.
Our new address will be:
2506 Greens Way Rogers, AR 72758

17 1/2 weeks and getting bigger...
Well I am officially not able to button my regular pants anymore, but not quite ready to move into maternity pants mostly because I can't find any 'work' pants that I like! I am thankful for my belly band as I have been wearing that every day now! It won't be long now and I will be maternity clothes bound for the next 5 months.... Geoff just bought me 2 cute pairs of maternity jeans and a new shirt for my Chicago trip in 2 weeks so I am anxiously awaiting their big debut!

We have movement!
Today I am 17 weeks and 3 days and I have been feeling Baby Sherman a lot! It has been amazing. It started as a little "tickle" or "flutter" a couple of weeks ago and has been getting stronger as the days and weeks go on. So tonight I thought that I would see if the baby would move for daddy. Geoff put his hand on my belly and sure enough within seconds the baby was moving around like crazy and daddy could feel him/her! All Geoff kept saying was " oh my god this is crazy!" I felt the biggest move /kick/tickle whatver you want to call it tonight while Geoff was touching my belly! I had just got done tapping on my belly in hopes of getting baby Sherman rolling around in there and sure enough he/she responded to my tap and my voice! What a great day and I am loving the reassurance that the baby is safe in there and enjoying the comfort of my belly!

Our trip to Toledo!
"Sweet Pea"
Geoff and I just got back from a wonderful weekend visiting his parents in Toledo, Ohio . We were very excited for our visit! We had a great time catching up and even going out to dinner to some of our favorite restaurants. On Sunday, Grandma Sherman and I went to a cooking class at Williams and Sonoma and then we went shopping for Baby Sherman. Thank you so much for all the great outfits from Gymboree and Baby Gap. Our baby is already spoiled! Grandma bought a ton of really cute outfits from The Gap and above are the ones from Gymboree. Our little sweet pea cannot wait to wear them very soon!
