Utensils please!

Avery has just started to show interest in using utensils so we went out this past weekend and bought her her very own new plates and forks and spoons. She loves to be independent with her eating these days. This morning she had eggs for the first time and she liked them but she said she prefers them from a spoon and on her own... Today we took Avery on her first bike ride. Aunt Laura found us an awesome trailer that daddy can pull behind him on his bike and we tried it out today. Everything was great expect for the helmet that was a tad bit too big for Avery this year. We rode to Lake Arlington and even stopped to see the ducka duckas..... Thanks Aunt Laura for finding us such a fun thing to use outdoors as a family. Please thank your friend that donated it to us!!!

A day at Arlington Race Track!

Today we went to Arlington Park to watch the horse races and spend a beautiful day outside. We only live about 10 minutes from here and I am not sure why we have not been yet this summer because it was great. We had such a fun time. I really love horses as mommy discovered when we were in Springfield at the State Fair. Although most of the pics mommy caught today will not show a smile on my face I really did have a great time but I was just being a little bit of a stinker with the pictures that mommy wanted to take.

On Sundays it is family day and they had a petting zoo ... Dada and I were checking out all the animals.. my favorite was still the DUCKS or Ducka duckas....

The sun came out and I needed daddy's glasses for the actual race so I could watch my horse very closely.. thanks daddy!

We had such a fun day and it was successful one with our $3.80 win on horse #4:) Until next time......

Our little helper

Avery is such a good helper these days. She is completely obsessed with the broom and the vacuum which isn't such a bad thing I guess.. Today she asked me if she could take on the sweeping for mommy.... I said "absolutely". So off she goes with the broom that is clearly WAY taller than she is, but she did great!

Still going.......making sure she gets every LAST dog hair(haha)

Then after all the sweeping.. she decided that it was time to feed her baby. If you ask Avery to give her baby a "baba"(bottle) she can do it now and I think it is the sweetest thing in the world to watch her. She LOVES all her baby dolls!

Rain drops keep falling on my head...

Today it was a rainy morning and mommy and I were out and about being social with friends so I got to try out my new raincoat that Aunt Laura bought me. It was my first time wearing it and I have to say it fits great and kept me nice and dry!

Fudge Popsicle Please!

I had to include these cute pictures I caught of Avery last night while she was enjoying a sugar free fudge popsicle. She was having the best time enjoying every last lick and of course the minute the stick "appeared" and she was officially done with it, she started signing more, more, more please!! Such sweet pictures capturing the pure joy of a popsicle in the summer!
