Daddy turns 33!

Yesterday daddy turned 33 years old. We had a great day together! It first started out with a nice long walk on the trail with me, mommy and daddy. We walked 3 miles(well I was in the stroller) and I fell asleep about 1 1/2 miles into it! It was a gorgeous sunny day and in the 70's. Daddy said it was the warmest birthday he remembers ever having. Then at night daddy got to pick his favorite place for dinner. He picked sushi(no surprise here)and our friend Louis and a few of his friends were going to meet us there but plans changed and I ended up staying at home with mommy and daddy's friend. It was mommy's first time leaving me with someone other than family and I did GREAT!!!! I stayed up really late! Thanks Cal and Sarah for watching me! And Happy Birthday to the best daddy in the world!

Can you believe it???

I'm 3 months old today...and still as happy as can be!!! My new milestone that I have reached is LAUGHING. I just started this yesterday and mommy loves to tickle me over and over again to get me to giggle!! She said it is such a sweet sound to hear(I think she might still have some of those crazy pregnancy hormones left over). Today mommy was kissing my belly and I was laughing and laughing!!!!

I am still a pretty good sleeper at night but I am not quite sleeping through the night for mommy yet. I usually go down around 8:30 and then I will wake up at 4:00am and think I need some of that boobie milk so mommy gets up and then I go back to sleep until around 7:00am. Not too bad I think for a little thing like me but mommy says she still can't wait for me to pull another all-nighter here soon!!

My favorite thing right now is playing on my play-mat. I can lay there for 30 minutes at a time and entertain myself(well the toys actually entertain me) and I am grabbing and kicking at everything I see. I like sound and lights. I also like to try and roll over these days. I have not been successful quite yet but I am giving it a good try. I get a lot of speed going but just not there yet.

At nighttime though mommy uses a video monitor so she can see me but I have been playing tricks on her. I now move around in my crib and then she cannot see me anymore. Most mornings when mommy comes in she finds me completely turned around.

Well that is about it for today I am tired of typing so I am going to take a nap and dream about my next walk outside today in my stroller!

Our trip to the wild animal safari in Gentry Arkansas!

Today mommy and daddy and I went to Gentry Arkansas to check out this wild animal safari everyone keeps talking about. Boy oh boy did we have an experience there. We first started off by walking around and seeing some of the animals that they had in cages and then we got in our car and drove around to see all the other animals. The crazy thing was all these animals would come right up to the window and just look in at us...I guess there was a good reason why the lady told us as we were entering KEEP THE WINDOWS UP! We had never quite experienced anything like it. Well worth the 45 minute drive!!!

Here I am getting excited for the trip!

We are here!!! Mommy and I posing on a gorilla???

Daddy and I.....

The first monkey we saw...

I was checking out this baby monkey... thought he was pretty cool and he was wearing diapers just like me!!

Mommy and I walking around seeing all the animals in the cages. It was another beautiful fall day today!
Daddy and I in front of the camel. You could spend 5$ and ride on it but I think I am a little young for that quite yet
The first animal we saw... Pretty big fellow just taking his sweet ole time crossing the roadThese crazy birds were mommy's favorite. They would come up to the window and peck at it... Crazy! The first time this happened to daddy he got a little scared and backed away!

"Whatcha doing in there?
"I'm going to get you!"This was the car in front of us... Now this is what I am talking about... These crazy animals all came up to the window and looked inside

"Oh man here comes a big camel....mommy and daddy keep the windows shut!"
"This one wanted a kiss but I said no way"

"I think daddy pooped his pants when this thing came walking over to his window" I yelled from the backseat..."check your pants daddy"
Some random animals

"And this madness doesn't stop... here comes another"A zebra

A zebra looking right in at mommy.....wow they are not afraid of anything.

At the end of the drive we caught a great sunset and beautiful sky...

All that excitement and I am out like a light!
What a fun trip... there may be no zoos in Northwest Arkansas but this wild animal safari was sure something to talk about!

Avery's thoughts on the weekend activities..

Here is mommy's first attempt of some video footage of me... She is still trying to figure it all out that is why I am facing sideways in the video, but she gets an A for effort.... next time she might get me facing the right way:)

My first interview.....

12 weeks old and having oh so much fun!

Today I am 12 weeks old. Seems hard for mommy to believe. Time is flying by she says... Below are some random pictures of me over the weekend. The first one mommy took was with this silly looking headband on but over the weekend strangers kept asking if I was a boy or girl so I had to bust out my girly stuff!! I was wearing a lot of orange for Halloween and I guess that orange can be a color a boy wears too.. Huh? better get back to my pink stuff!

Playing on my play mat this time in my boppy pillow... working on my head and neck control. It is a lot of hard work but I am having fun!
Mommy bought me a new toy over the weekend and it lights up and sings. I am mesmerized by it!

Here is me and my "Uncle Louis". He came over on Saturday to use some of my 'baby' things for his Halloween costume. Isn't he a cute baby?....(FYI, he is using one of my pacifiers and clips... can you believe it?)
On Saturday I had more visitors.. this time from mommy's friend Twyla and her fiance Jonathan.(I think that means they are getting married). They came all the way from Little Rock for a football game and stopped by to meet me and brought me an awesome new book. Thanks guys
