A few updates from Avery...

After I turned 8 months on Saturday I decided it was time to start doing some new things... So here are some recent 'tricks' I can do....

I can share my food with you now. If you ask me "Avery can have a bite?" most likely I will offer you a piece unless it is something really good that I just can't part with. Meme first introduced me to this over the weekend and now mommy always seems to want to have my rice cakes but I can't understand why because she knows where they are in the cabinet. You would think she could get her own and eat as many as she wants.. but I humor her most times and let her try mine.

And now at nap time I have figured out how to pull myself up in the crib to an almost standing position.....

And if that isn't smart enough I will then slightly turn my head and look at the camera to tell mommy "hey look at me...! You better come get me". It has worked a few times but other times mommy just makes me figure it out on my own and I eventually go to sleep.

Lots of giggles.....

My cousins Justin and Jack made me a bear named Pinkberry at Build A Bear a few weeks ago and I LOVE her so much. She makes me giggle....

Im 8 months old!

Today I turned 8 months old. It was a lucky day for me because my Meme and Papa happened to be at my house too. I got to spend the entire day with them..It was a great one!

Papa and daddy put up my new swing in the backyard and I had my first ride....


After my afternoon nap Meme, mommy and I walked to the park and played. Here I am on the slide...

Then mommy and I went down the big slide together. It went really fast...

My 1st Easter in Springfield!!

This weekend mommy, daddy and I drove to Springfield to spend my first Easter with Meme and Papa. I had so much fun even though it was a really quick trip. My meme and Papa spoiled me rotten...... Below are a lot of pictures of all the things I got to do in just 2 days!!!!! I am a lucky girl....

On Saturday we went to the mall and Papa took me on my first carousel ride. I had so much fun!

Next up was getting to see the Easter bunny.. Mommy daddy, Meme and Papa all had bets on whether I would cry or not. Mommy and Papa said yes I would and Meme and daddy said no.... you decide for yourself....

Looks like mommy and Papa won the bet! I wasn't so sure I liked the bunny this year.

Then when we were done.. Meme tried this wig on me from the store..I think maybe one day I'll dye my hair pink. What do you think mommy and daddy?

When we got home and we got to dye some Easter Eggs.. here I am with my Aunt Judy and Meme.......

On Sunday we all went to church together and then went to the park and took some pictures. I didn't really want to smile for the pics but there were a few that turned out.

Marinda comes to visit!!!!

Today we were very excited when we got up because we knew one of mommy's best friends and her daughter, Marinda were going to come and visit while they were in Chicago for the Easter weekend. Marinda was born May 29th so she is a little older than I am but not by too much!! This is the first time that we were meeting each other because Marinda lives in Ohio.

Here I am waiting patiently for my best friend to get here..... My mommy and her mommy have been friends since grade school and were born only 25 days apart. I counted today and Marinda and I are 73 days apart.......

Yeah she's here! We went in the backyard to try and catch a good picture but our mommy's discovered very quickly that a good picture is almost impossible with the two of us....

Thanks for a great visit today... It was wonderful to meet you and I am sure it will not be too long and we will both be the best of friends and get into lots of trouble together like our mommy's did in high school:)

April Fools Day!

It is a BEAUTIFUL sunny and warm day out so mommy and I walked to the park near our house. It was the first day that I got to a 'summer' dress with no shoes and socks. I still love checking out my toes so this was a treat for me!!!!! I had a lot of fun on the swings and then I got to sit and pose for mommy for a few pics!!
